PSO Strategic Industry Advisory Body (SIAB) Membership 2026

09/09/26

The Strategic Industry Advisory Body (SIAB) provides Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) with forward-looking intelligence on the future of jobs, skills and work in the energy sector. It enables PSO to advise government, develop training products and engage industry from a position of informed strategic foresight.

The nomination and appointment of members to the PSO SIAB was conducted in line with the Jobs and Skills Councils – Strengthening Australia’s National Vocational Education and Training System Program – Code of Conduct.

The primary purpose and function of the SIAB is strategic in nature.  It is to inform PSO’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team with forward looking advice relating to:

  • Stress-testing PSO’s assumptions about the future energy workforce and identifying emerging job roles and disappearing skills 5–10 years out.

  • Exploring scenario planning for decarbonisation, AI adoption and energy system change, and their workforce implications.

  • Challenging whether PSO’s training products, workforce planning and services are fit for the future, not just the present.

  • Connecting PSO with forward-thinking employers, research and intelligence that PSO cannot access through desk research.

  • Providing strategic intelligence, perspectives and recommendations on key industry, employment and training trends, challenges and opportunities.

The committee is advisory in nature and does not have any decision making functions or voting rights. Members of the current PSO SIAB are listed below.
