2026 Energy Workforce and Skills Survey

01/04/26

Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) is pleased to launch its annual Energy Workforce and Skills Survey for 2026.

Why your input matters

This survey informs longitudinal tracking of workforce and skills metrics that uniquely capture the perspectives and intentions of Australia’s energy sector.

The survey is critical in enabling PSO, governments, unions, and institutions to better track and respond to the challenges, barriers, risks, and opportunities involved in building Australia’s skilled energy workforce.

How will this information be used?

PSO will publish the results of this survey in our annual Workforce Plan, allowing you to track and compare industry outlook across energy subsectors and jurisdictions.

Who can participate?

The survey includes tailored question streams for:

  • Employers, supervisors, and workers in the energy sector
  • Educators, trainers, assessors, or training support members
  • Anyone studying an energy sector qualification
  • Unions, industry associations, peak bodies, government, and research organisations supporting the energy sector

We also encourage you to share this survey with any colleagues and energy sector contacts who might like to participate.

Have your say! Don’t miss the opportunity to participate. Survey closes, Wednesday, 22 April 2026, 11:59 pm (AEST). Complete the survey using the link below or by scanning the QR code.
